What is the Farkle with Friends game about?
Well, Farkle with Friends is some serious and really exciting throwing-dice genre virtual game that totally does not feel virtual. From the viewpoint of physics, the bouncing and random landing thing of the dice is just awesome, not that simulated pre-programmed stuff. Every other time, you may never be sure of winning, so the roll becomes all the more charged with excitement.
Online matches with family or friends can be entered very easily, and since every round takes only a minute or two, it can serve as a great time er. The scoring seems quite interesting, it’s not all about nailing big points but getting scores for combos such as straights or matching sets, and then there is also the thrill of whether to press on with hopes of that big score or play it safe.
And there is a bit of customizing too. You can unlock different skins for your dice by winning some challenges, to keep the look of your rolls fresh. Some of the special rolls, Doubles, or managing to get all six dice into one big combo have their little surprises that will keep one guessing.
It’s easy to learn, hard to master, and downright heinously addictive. A small heads up it will need a mouse and keyboard at times. Plus, the devs have said that this is their first game, so do not mind the odd glitch or two. But it is pretty darn good, if you ask me, for a first shot.
